The following steps can help you do this:
For Quartz Pulse Checkers
1. Push the switch up.
2. Put the quartz watch or movement in the "dial position" for testing, and one of the following results will appear.
(A) No sound and no green light:
The battery or electronic components are in poor condition.
Solution: Check/replace battery and retest.
If still no response, check/update electronic parts or complete movement.
(B) If there is a sound and the green light is flashing, but the hands do not move:
= The battery and electronic parts are in good condition, but the mechanical parts are in poor condition.
Solution: Check/update mechanical parts and retest.
If there is still no response, complete the exercise again.
(C) If a sound is heard, the green light is flashing and the hands are moving: The quartz watch or movement is in good condition.
For coin cell battery checker
1. Push the switch down.
2. Place the battery in the "battery test board position" for testing; make sure the positive (+) side is down.
3. Press the plastic button and the battery level indicator will indicate the voltage.
Yellow light = update required, weak voltage
First green light = low, 10.5 volts.
Second green light = OK, 1.55 volts.
Third green light = OK, 3.00 volts.
