The depth of an object can be determined by calculating the time difference between the transmission of sound waves and the reception of reflected sound waves. 4High Performance: The electrical signal generated by the transmitter is converted into an ultrasonic signal by the transducer. Any reflected signal from an intermediate object (such as a school of fish) is received by the transducer and converted into an electrical signal. It is then enlarged in the amplifier section and finally displayed on the screen. 5Color Display: The picture displayed by the color digital fish finder is composed of a series of vertical scan lines, each scan line representing a snapshot that took place under the boat. A series of snapshots are accumulated side by side across the screen, and the resulting contours is displayed.
