This turquoise Howlite gemstone heart has been mended to declare "You are more beautiful for having been broken."
KINTSUGI: Japanese for "repaired with gold", an ancient technique that celebrates objects that have been broken by repairing the cracks with gold. Imperfection is beautiful, and mending is transformative!
A beautiful 1" smooth kintsukuroi "mended heart" turquoise Howlite pendant has been simply hung on a silky soft yet unbreakable silk-like cord. This stone looks exactly like genuine Turquoise (and is often misrepresented as Turquoise), and feels smooth and cool against the skin. Perfect turquoise color.
Mended with epoxy, gold dust, and 22k gold leaf--NOT paint.
This repaired heart proudly symbolizes transformation, strength and beauty in imperfection.
PENDANT: Turquoise Howlite, which looks exactly like genuine Turquoise. The heart is about 1" long (25mm) and wide and is 5/16" thick. It is a beautiful turquoise blue color, with nice matrix within the stone. It is mended on both sides as shown. Smooth and puffy.
