Production Method: This handmade piece is made using reverse decoupage on a glass cabochon. The design was digitally mastered, then printed onto archival paper. The paper is lightly wetted, then coated with a thin layer of archival adhesive. The back of the glass is coated with the same adhesive then the two are pressed together. Tiny bubbles and other defects are pressed out by hand, then the cabochon is allowed to dry before being fixed into its setting. Small bubbles and surface variations are normal in this handmade process. Beads and beaded accents are individually wire wrapped by hand. All design work, printing and assembly is completed in a home studio in Detroit, MI.
