Installation:
Remove the hub and inspect the bearings before mounting. If the bearing is damaged, rusted or dented, replace the bearing. Remove old grease and contaminants from the hub. Check the condition of the internal seals. Make sure they are new, and running on a smooth spindle sealing surface. Important: When you reassemble the part, completely fill the hub with a versatile grade 2 lubricant (for example, the type used in the suspension of a car). Do not use heavy, fibrous grease; Do not mix grease types.
Use a small piece of wood to secure the bearing to the hub and hammer it into place with a hammer. If the bearing cannot be driven into the hub, or cannot fit tightly into the hub, do not apply force. Your hub may be slightly larger or smaller. If this happens, or the bearing is significantly too large or too small
Disassembly:
The bearings are fixed in the hub by an interference fit. To remove the bearing, lean a piece of wood against its side and hit the wood with a hammer. Place the wood on the opposite side and hit again. Continue this process until the bearing is removed from the hub. Do not dismount the bearing to attempt to remove it.
