Description:
A4988 is a complete micro-stepping motor driver with built-in translatorfor easy operation. It includes a fixed off-timecurrent regulator, the regulator in slow or mixed decay modes. A4988converter is the key to the easy implementation. As long as the "step"input inputting one pulse drives the motor one micro-step. There are nophase sequence tables, high frequency control lines, or complexinterfaces to program. A4988 interface is very suitable for complexmicroprocessor is unavailable or is overburdened.

- Five different step resolutions: full-step, half-step, quarter-step, eighth-step, and sixteenth-step.
- Intelligent chopping control that automatically selects the correct current decay mode (fast decay or slow decay).
- Over-temperature thermal shutdown, under-voltage lockout, and crossover-current protection.
- Adjustable current control lets you set the maximum current output witha potentiometer, which lets you use voltages above your steppermotor's rated voltage to achieve higher step rates.
- Internal synchronousrectification control circuitry is provided to improve the pulse-widthmodulation (PWM) operation power consumption.
