Address Code: the starting address of the transmitter, which is unique in the communication network (factory default 0x01).
Function Code: the instruction function indication sent by the host. This transmitter only uses function code 0x03 (read register data).
Data Area: the data area is the specific communication data. Note that the high byte of 16bits data is in the front!
CRC Code: two byte check code.
Common Problems and Solutions:
Possible reasons for the device not being able to connect to the PLC or computer:
- The computer has multiple COM ports. The selected port is incorrect.
- The address of the device is wrong, or there are devices with duplicate addresses (factory default is 1).
- Baud rate, verification mode, data bit, stop bit error.
- The host polling interval and waiting time are too short, which need to be set above 200ms.
- 485 bus is disconnected, or A and B wires are connected reversely.
- If the number of equipment is too large or the wiring is too long, the power shall be supplied nearby, 485 intensifier shall be added, and 120terminal resistance shall be added at the same time.
- The usb-485 drive is not installed or damaged.
- The equipment is damaged.
