SEED CONTENTS: Includes 100 golden kiwi seeds for starting your own vines. This planting project begins with seed, rather than an established fruiting plant. CLIMBING FORM: Kiwi develops woody, twining growth. Provide a strong trellis or arbor and train the stems as the vine establishes. GROWING SITE: Choose a sunny position sheltered from strong wind. Good soil drainage helps keep the root zone from remaining waterlogged. VINE CARE: Maintain soil moisture and guide developing stems onto their support. Allow space for training and pruning as the plant grows. LONG-TERM PROJECT: Seed-raised vines develop individual traits. Fruiting depends on plant maturity and suitable pollination as well as growing conditions. Plant Profile: Kiwi is a woody climbing vine for a long-term fruit-growing project. Its developing stems need a strong support and room for training. Growing Conditions: Choose full sun, shelter from strong wind and well-drained soil. Train developing stems onto a sturdy support and maintain soil moisture without standing water. Garden Use: A trellis or arbor gives the vines a defined growing space. Seed-raised plants develop individual fruit traits and may take years to mature. Package Contents: 100 golden kiwi seeds for planting.
