Sandra Keith, kind-hearted and secretly in love with Jade Smith, only wants what's best for her best friend Amanda Grey — even if it means helping Jade and Amanda get together. In a final bid to help Jade win Amanda's heart, Sandra agrees to be with wealthy Tony Delvin in order to make Jade a powerful man. But Amanda, still shadowed by poverty, confesses to Sandra that she's only with Jade to use his rising status to rebuild her father's crumbling reputation.
