Brielle Forbes is a highly skilled spy for the Helix Authority, inspired by her late father, who died during a mission for his last client — the Brown family. Ever since, Brielle has harbored a deep grudge against them, vowing to avoid ever working for them again. Ethan Brown, the kind-hearted heir to the powerful Brown family, faces mounting pressure to protect his family's legacy amid a series of threats, while their biggest rival, the Miller family, has gone suspiciously quiet since Levi Miller took over. When Brielle unknowingly saves Ethan during a mission, her superior assigns her a bitter-pill task: protect Ethan and uncover who's really behind the attacks on the family she blames for her father's death.
